The 19 years old tennis star Olga Danilovic finds a void in women tennis when it comes to the ‘big three’. According to her, the ATP tour attracts more crowds and interests more people because of the big three- Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

The Serbian tennis player feels not having a big three in women tennis might be a potential reason why the WTA tour does not interest as many people.

“We don’t have a big three. We have Serena, Naomi Osaka who is currently a star… Women’s tennis is great, but when Simona Halep plays with Ashleigh Barty at six in the afternoon, and then at eight Nole plays against Federer, where will you go? Unfortunately, it is what it is.

Women’s tennis is currently top and it (a great level of tennis) is also played in smaller tournaments. Janko (Tipsarevic), for example, had top matches, but when you have Nole, Federer, and Nadal, you will always go and watch them,” Danilovic said on Sport Klub’s Wish & Go podcast.

Initially, it irritated Olga that people saw her as the daughter of Sasha Danilovic and not Olga Danilovic. But soon, she managed to make a name for herself.“I mean, that’s my dad. You can’t choose your parents. It’s beautiful for me now. That is so and it cannot be changed. He will be my dad and Sasa Danilovic, and I am very glad that I managed to make a name for myself and that I am Olga and not Sasa Danilovic’s daughter,” Danilovic concluded.
