
Transylvania Open is one of the 250 series tournaments in the WTA Tour and takes place on indoor hard courts. Transylvania Open 2021 will be held from 25th October to 31st October at BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Transylvania Open 2021 Draw – Singles
The main draw has recently been announced in front of the event. Simona Halep(1), Anett Kontaveit(2), Emma Raducanu(3), Jil Teichmann(4), Ajla Tomljanovic(5), Maria Kostyuk(6), Irina-camelia Begu(7), Anhelina Kalinina(8) are seeded competent in the 32 players draw.
Romanians Jaqueline Cristian, Irina Bara, Andreea Prisacariu were awarded a wildcard for the singles main draw this year.
Top seed Simona Halep will face compatriot Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the first round. On the flip side, No.2 seed and Kremlin Cup 2021 title winner Anett Kontaveit will meet qualifier Aleksandra Krunic in her first-round match. Notably, the US Open 2021 Champion Emma Raducanu will lock horns with Polona Hercog in the opening encounter.
