Ukrainian Stalwart Elina Svitolina announced she parted ways with her long time coach Andrew Bettles. Brit began to work with Svitolina in 2017. Since then, Elina has ranked in the top 10 so far and reached a career-high ranking of World No.3 in November 2017.
In addition to this, Andrew is also known as Andy, has helped Svitolina to lift the title at Taipei City, Dubai, Istanbul, Rome, and Toronto in 2017 and Brisbane, Dubai, Rome, WTA Finals in 2018 and Monterrey and Strasbourg in 2020 and Chicago 250 in 2021.
Under Bettles guidance, Svitolina also reached the semifinals at Wimbledon and US Open and quarterfinals at the Australian Open and French Open. Notably, she won a bronze medal in the singles tennis event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
“After 5 years and 11 titles together!! Andy and I both agreed it was the right time to move our separate ways. I am very thankful for all his hard work and endless support. I wish him only the best in his future career!” Svitolina wrote in her Twitter handle.
