Former World No.1 Simona Halep reached the semifinal at Linz Open 2021 following the three sets(4-6,7-5,6-0) victory over Jasmine Paolini. After more than a couple of hours of a marathon on the indoor hard court, Romanian revealed she fought until the end to conquer Italian. 

“I am very relieved that I was able to win this match. It was a very, very difficult one. She played hard and with amazing speed,” Simona Halep said in the post-match interview.
