Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is a woman professional tennis player from Russia. Righted handed tennis sensation was born on 3rd July 1991 in Samara, the largest city and administrative centre of Samara Oblast in Russia. She is currently residing in Moscow and Nice and reached a career-high ranking of World No.13 on 4th July 2011. 

Who Are Anastasia Pavlyuchenkov’s Parents and Her Brother? 

Pavlyuchenkov’s parents are her father, Sergey, a rower and her mother, Marina, a swimmer. Her brother Alexander Pavlyuchenkov, a professional tennis player for a while. Her Grandmother was a former Basketball player from the USSR, and her Grandfather was a high-level Basketball referee.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkov’s Junior Career

Pavlyuchenkov began playing tennis at the age of six because of her sports family and her brother Alexander, who gives tennis tips to her so far. Afterwards, she trained at the Mouratoglou tennis academy for several years. 

However, 2006 was a fantastic year for Russian’s junior career. After winning the girl’s singles Grand Slam title at the 2006 Australian Open, she came to the limelight and ranked World No.1 in junior on 30th January 2006. 

Later on, Anastasia reached the championship match at the 2006 French Open and claimed one more girl’s singles Grand Slam title at the 2006 US Open

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkov’s WTA Career

Pavlyuchenkov entered into a professional tennis career in December 2005. She made her WTA main draw debut at the 2006 Kremlin Cup as a wildcard entrant. Russian won her maiden WTA Tour-level singles title at the 2010 Monterrey Open after defeating Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova in the three sets(1-6, 6-0, 6-1) in the final. 

Anastasia has won 12 WTA singles titles and five doubles and significantly captured the Monterrey Open singles title four times. In the Grand Slam, She ultimately attained the final at the 2021 French Open and quarterfinals at the rest of the major tournaments.

Russian’s favourite surface is clay, and her favourite shot is forehand.

Former World No.13 speaks Russian, English, and French. However, Pavlyuchenkov’s favourite cuisines are Japanese and Russian.
