Coco Gauff Will Be A Significant Force In Women’s Tennis Over The Next 10 To 20 Years, says Jim Courier

American teenager Coco Gauff has been growing up so fast since she turned into a professional tennis player. She is now ranked 36th in the world. However, the four-time Grand Slam champion and her countryman Jim Courier admits that Gauff would be a dominant force in the women’s game for nearly two decades.

Gauff, who recently celebrated her 17th birthday, has already begun the 2021 season with back-to-back stunning performances in Adelaide and Dubai. She is now competing at her home WTA 1000 event, Miami Open 2021

Nevertheless, another Florida resident Jim Courier has released a list of players that he’s excited to watch on hardcourts at Hard Rock Stadium. The 50-year-old American further stated that he is looking forward to watching the skills of Daniil Medvedev, Naomi Osaka and NextGen Coco Gauff.

The Tennis Channel commentator said of Gauff, “She is already in the top 40 in the world rankings and will be a significant force in women’s tennis over the next 10 to 20 years.”

Courier further added, “She is also from South Florida, so I expect her to get some big crowd support.”

Coco Gauff will face either Latvian Anastasija Sevastova or a qualifier in her Miami Open 2021 campaign opening round match. She would have a chance to lock horns with World No.3 Simona Halep before reaching the quarterfinal.

At the age of 17, Gauff has won a WTA singles title and reached twice the fourth round of the major events. The day is not far away when she breaks into the top 10 and wears a Grand Slam crown.
