As a teenager, Coco Gauff has adequate records on the hard and grass courts Grand Slams. Intending to make a solid impression on the red dirt and Roland Garros, American is now competing at the WTA Strasbourg Open for the first time.

Gauff has already begun her clay-court season. First of all, she competed at the Volvo Car Open. Therein, she fell in the quarterfinal to Tunisian Ons Jabeur in straight sets.

Coco Gauff has tried to open her account at the Mutua Madrid Open in the European clay-court swing. But, she bowed out of the WTA 1000 event after a two-hour marathon rally against the Czech Karolina Pliskova in the first round.

Gauff’s decision to play in the Strasbourg Open seems like she wants to be in great shape and play more matches ahead of the Roland Garros this year. Undoubtedly, it can help her to adapt to France’s weather conditions a bit before reaching Paris.
