Women’s Tennis Circuit rising stars Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek reached a new career-high ranking after creating personal history at the recently concluded Adelaide International 2021. 

Coco Gauff ’s First WTA 500 Semi-Final!

Having initially no intention to play in South Australian Capitals, Coco Gauff’s decision to extend her this year’s Down Under tour really paid off for her.

The 16-years-old American for entering into the event’s main draw rallied from 0-3 down to defeat Slovenian tennis star Kaja Juvan in the second qualifying match.

Gauff won three more three-setters in the main draw before falling to No.2 seed Belinda Bencic in her first WTA 500 event semifinal. Having a dream run at Adelaide, Coco Gauff has moved up 14 places to attain a career-best 38th position with 1632 rating points.

A teenager from Florida won her first WTA singles title at the 2019 Linz Open and played her second semifinal during the 2020 Top Seed Open. Coco Gauff may be a seeded player when this year Roland Garros rolls around.

Iga Swiatek’s Maiden Hardcourt Title!

On Saturday, the 19-years-old Polish tennis sensation Iga Swiatek captured her second singles title at the Adelaide International 2021 after a dominant straight-sets win over World No.12 Belinda Bencic

Having a stellar week at Memorial Drive Centre Court, No.14 Swiatek claimed her first singles title outside of a Grand Slam without dropping a set in the entire tournament.

Iga Swiatek conceded 28 games for winning her first Grand Slam title at the French Open 2020 while she gave up 22 games to lift her maiden hardcourt title in Kangaroo nation. 

However, Roland Garros’s reigning climbed up three places to reach a career-high 15th perch with 3483 rating points. Swiatek might be a top ten player before defending her crown at the upcoming French Open.
