Serena Williams shared an emotional moment with her 3-year-old daughter Olympia. Serena, although dropped her first set against Sloane Stephens, went on to win the match. She will now play Greek tennis star Maria Sakkari in the Round of 16.

If Serena wins this tournament, she will equal Margaret Court’s record 24 Grand Slams. However, while the American star was happy with her win, the other thing that made her feel special was the special moment she had with her daughter.

Olympia was in the stands to watch her mother play. It was when Olympia waved to Serena, that was loved and adored by everyone. Olympia was there sitting on the lap of Father Alexis Ohanian in the stands.

Besides, during this precious and adorable moment, it was when Serena looked at her daughter waving that made Serena Williams smiled and made her even more happy and excited after the hard-fought win.

Mother Serena Williams said, “Well, I forgot she was coming out. So I hope she saw her mama fighting. (To Olympia) Hi, Baby. I do not think she was paying attention, between you and me. She may have been playing with some princesses upstairs.”

The world number eight is now one step closer to winning the 24th Grand Slam of her career. Additionally, she is also the third-seeded player in the US Open. While she did have a tough match against Sloane, she would now like to be back in her game and win against Greek star Maria Sakkari.
