Former World No.01 Angelique Kerber did not participate in the WTA tournaments after Australian Open 2020 due to a left-leg injury.  In the same reason, three-times Grand Slam winner withdrew from the cancelled BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open as well. As a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic, the German stuck at home in Poland and she is spending her valuable time with family.

In the recent, a Porsche Tennis Interview the World No.21 said: “After the Crisis, people can again find pleasure in the title things in life”. The two-times Stuttgart winner answered to the question: Where are you instead and how are you? “I’m in Poland and I’m fine. It’s a real shame the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix can’t be played due to the Corona crisis. 

“After, my injury worries at the start of the season, I’m now fit again and was raring to get back on tour. To celebrate my comeback at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix with fantastic Stuttgart crowd was especially motivating for me.”

Amid Coronavirus pandemic, Rio Olympic Silver medalist is hosting a cooking show in her home.

Angel took a pan and potatoes behalf of a tennis racket and ball to serve aces on her kitchen. The German tennis pro answered to the question: What things do you now finally have time for? 

“For Cooking amongst other things. It’s something I’ve always wanted to learn properly but I never had the time. I’m cooking every day-it’s lot of fun. In my family, we mainly cook traditional dishes using old recipes, tasty savoury bakes for example.”

“Sometimes, I get ideas from a cooking app or Youtube. We’ve already tried our hands at everything from Italian to Thai, and we’ve also baked cakes and made desserts.”
