Former World Number One Maria Sharapova has been a beautiful player in the women’s tennis world. She has featured in a number of modeling assignments. Followed by her retirement in February, it brought to an end the career of one of the most bankable stars in sporting history.

But now the tennis world sees a star who can fill the gap of Maria Sharapova. 18-year-old Amanda Anisimova of the US already shows the maturity of a quality tennis player, and she has dubbed as Next Maria Sharapova. However, Amanda Anisimova feels that it is good to be called the next Maria Sharapova, and I am happy with it, Just to be known as Amanda.

“It gives me confidence when people compare me to her.” said a teenage star. Amanda Anisimova was born in Freehold, New Jersey, to Russian-born parents. Later, Anisimova moved to Miami with her family at the age of three.

Right now, Amanda Anisimova has been practicing for home Grand Slam tournament amid Coronavirus Pandemic. Last month, She played at the Charleston Women’s invitational tennis tour along with 2020 Australian Open Champion Sofia Kenin, Eugenie Bouchard, and Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
