Serena Williams And LeBron James Work Hand In Hand To Empower Black People

The United States Sports Sensations Serena Williams and LeBron James are well-known kind-hearted people in the African-American community. In the past, they gave a helping hand on several occasions to people in need. Right now, Sports stars work together to make an opportunity for black people on digital platforms.

Recently, NBA superstar LeBron James and his longtime business partner Maverick Carter raised $100 million. Moreover, LA Lakers player LeBron combined his three media companies to make television and digital relevant SpringHill Entertainment Company.

It aims to empower black audiences on digital platforms. Consequently, the company has established names on the board of directors its including Tennis Great Serena Williams.

Not only Serena Williams,  Apollo Global Management Co-Founder Marc Rowan, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, longtime business partners Paul Wachter and Tom Werner are also on the SpringHill board.

In a statement, 35-year-old James said: “I’ve always wanted to use the platform of basketball to empower those around me. Now I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to build a company that empowers creators, consumers, and everything it touches. The SpringHill Company defines empowerment. You see it in the team we’ve built, the stories we tell, and the community our work will serve.”

Board Of Director Post Is Not New For Serena Williams

Former World No.01 Serena Williams is not only the best player in the tennis courts and also a smart entrepreneur in the business world. Williams founded a direct-to-consumer fashion line S by Serena and venture capital firm Serena Ventures, which has invested in more than 30 women based startups since 2014. 

Serena Williams once said “I usually invest my funds. I am the most boring spender ever. Don’t spend it, invest it.”

Although, Williams is also on the Board of Directors at SurveyMonkey. Serena currently holds the record for the most Grand Slam titles among active players with a total of 39 across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
