Rafael Nadal Becomes Honorary Ambassador of Mallorca Food Bank



While Rafael Nadal has been a representative for various international brands, he became an honorary ambassador of Mallorca food bank. The aim of this generous collaboration to advocate people in need. Additionally, the Spaniard hometown Manacor also exits on the Island of Mallorca. 

At the moment, the world has been facing an economic crisis owing to the pandemic. And while numerous people have been struggling to meet their month ends, several kind-hearted persons have been giving their helping hands too.

However, Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has shown his compassion once again amidst an unprecedented circumstance.


Nadal said, “From my foundation and the academy, we have joined the work of the Food Bank work. We understand that the work carried out by this institution is always essential, but even more so today with the situation we currently have known to all.”

Maria Francisca Perelló, Director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, stated we would donate nearly 3000 kg of food in basic requirements.

Additionally, the Director explained, “The Mallorca Food Bank has been doing a magnificent job for years, more necessary than ever. It is a satisfaction to be able to contribute so that people in our environment can count on this food aid.”

While a nonprofit organization chief praises Nadal for his kindness during this pandemic, he also believes that Rafa’s collaboration would help feed many. 

Raimundo de Montis, the president of Mallorca food bank, expressed, “It is an honor for the Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Mallorca that Rafa Nadal has agreed to be our honorary ambassador; the first in these 25 years. We highly value his immense human quality, increased in these times that we have to live.”
