While world number one Novak Djokovic is an unbeaten player with 21-0 streak in 2020 season, besides, he will face Roberto Bautista Agut in the Western and Southern Open 2020 semifinal on Friday.

In the quarterfinals, Djokovic defeated Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany in the straight sets(6-3, 6-1). On the other hand, Spaniard overcame the defending champion, Daniil Medvedev, by a score of (1-6, 6-4, 6-3).

Spanish star Bautista Agut beat Serbian in their last three outdoor-hardcourt meetings(2016-Shanghai,2019-Qatar, and Miami). Even though, Djokovic leads Bautista in head to head(8-3). In the last meeting, Nole defeated Agut in 2019 Wimbledon semifinals(6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2).

In 2019 Cincinnati Masters, defending champion Djokovic lost in the semifinals to Daniil Medvedev. Additionally, Roberto Bautista played until last eight rounds.

Djokovic said about Bautista, “His style of play is just so consistent. He doesn’t give away much at all. He doesn’t make many unforced errors. And He doesn’t drop his level of tennis much at all on any surface.”

As per Bautista, “Novak is a great player. It’s true that I played really good matches against Novak, [but] he didn’t lose a match this year. He is the favorite. I will try to play my game and try to enjoy another good match against him.”
