“Not Only About Grand Slams”: Milos Raonic Comments on Federer, Nadal and Djokovic’s GOAT Debate

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic

Former world number three, Milos Raonic, admits no comparison between the three of them. There’s no answer to who’s the most outstanding player because they all are very good at what they do.

After a semifinal loss at St.Petersburg, Raonic answered when asked about the ongoing GOAT discussion at the press conference on Saturday. He said, “I think It’s hard to debate it now because there’s a lot of open-ending things.”

Additionally, Milos explained, “You have Rafa that’s going to be around, we hope—to play more tennis, you have Roger that’s going to be coming back next year to play more tennis, then there’s Novak who’s the healthiest of all three of them. Also, especially over the last four years, he has been playing too well.”

Milos believes tennis is just about achieving the maximum number of Grand Slam titles or how many master series you win; there’s a lot more to it.

Raonic added, “It’s not only about Grand Slams. Weeks at No.1 matter, head-to-head results against each other matter, how many Masters series you win…there’s a lot.”

Milos continued, “It’s really a pleasure to have the guys in front of you all at the same time that you can have that comparison.”
