However, the star player from Czech Republic Petra Kvitova has expressed pretty hopefully that her decision to go to the Flushing Meadows would be easier.

Interestingly, at one end, the world number two Tennis icon Simona Halep has ruled out plans to participate in the scheduled Aug 31st-September 13th tournament while on the other end, the 23-times Grand Slam winner Serena Williams has confirmed her participation for the same.

Notably, New York is all set to host the Western and Southern Open Tennis Tournaments from August 22-28 this year. Organizers have opined that this translocation will help in the containment of the virus and they would be flexible with players’ choice of dates.
In a video conference on Wednesday tournament director, Stacey Allaster shared, “For the U.S. Open we know … athletes will most likely decide two to three weeks before.” “We are ready.
