“Looking Forward To 2021”: Bianca Andreescu Gets Ready For Comeback

Bianca Andreescu, the Canadian tennis star admits that she will definitely be in Melbourne for 2021 Australian Open. Additionally, the 2019 US Open champion in conversation with Tennis Majors revealed how badly she wants to be at the Australian Open.

The world number seven could not play a single tournament in 2020, owing to her left-knee injury. However, now that she is fit, Bianca has confirmed that she will play in January in Melbourne Park. Besides, the Australian Open would be the first Grand Slam event for the year 2021.

Moreover, Bianca shared that she is doing really well as of now. And while the pandemic had some effect on her as well, the Canadian is now training hard to come back to the court.

Bianca said, ”I am really looking forward to 2021. I am perfectly healthy.” Besides, the 20-years old also revealed that she wanted some time of her own. And Bibi said that she wanted to build things in her life.

Taking It Step By Step: Bianca Andreescu on Return

However, she also said that while she cannot wait to come back to the court, it isn’t like she would start playing from tomorrow. Besides, Bianca said that she is taking it step-by-step and does not wish to rush. 

Additionally, apart from the Australian Open, the 20-year old star is also looking forward to the Olympics 2021 in Japan. Moreover, the youngster has proved again and again that she is really something on the tennis court.

Being awarded as the WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2019 for her amazing play, Bianca has shown that she cannot be taken lightly when on the tennis court. Apart from winning the Grand Slam in New York, she also won the trophy in the Roger Cup and a title at the Indian Wells. 

The Australian Open is scheduled to begin on 18th January 2021 and would continue till 31st January 2021.
