“Know How The Balls Will Come”: Simona Halep Gets Ready For Iga Swiatek Clash at French Open 2020 Round of 16

Simona Halep has taken just 54 minutes to overcame Amanda Anisimova during the third round of the French Open 2020, while She also has extended her winning streak 17-0. After the match, the top-seeded player admits she needs to concentrate on continuing her winning streak at Roland Garros.

Whereas tennis viewers most keenly anticipated the match due to the past year’s result, it took place just less than an hour, and Halep revenged Anisimova by a score of (6-0, 6-1).

Speaking her comfortable victory against American, Romanian said,  “I’m very happy with how I handled things today. I played a very good match, and I was very aggressive. I knew last year that I had to change something.”

Halep wished, “I wanted to be better at all costs than in 2019. This victory is a victory. “It’s a gift for Darren because today is his birthday. Happy birthday, Darren! It’s nice to win games here at Roland Garros, and I’m really happy with the time I spent on the pitch.”

“I Want The Match To Be Longer Than the Last Year”: Iga Swiatek

Even though Iga Swiatek bested by Simona Halep in the straight sets last year, she looks forward to a long match against world number two this year.

Poland tennis star said after beating Eugenie Bouchard in the straight sets, “If I play again against Simona Halep, then I want the match to be longer than last year. I was stressed in that match, excited. I did not play my best tennis.”

Talking about her next round opponent, Halep explained, “I played here with her last year, so I know what to do against her. I know how the balls will come, I know she hits hard and flat, so I think it will be similar to what happened today. “I want to focus on myself and keep winning here.”

The favorite to win the French Open 2020, Simona Halep, will play unseeded Iga Swiatek on Sunday. Romanian also leads Polish in head to head(1-0).
