Borna Coric, recently came back at Nick Kyrgios after he slammed those who took part in the Adria tour tennis exhibition. The Croatian star retaliated addressing him as “a general after the battle.”
The Australian player Kyrgios was very condemning of any player that was a part of the Adria tour. He even called the people who decided to organize this event as boneheaded. Moreover, he went on to question Djokovic and other top players for their stupidity and risky behavior.
Coric replied to his criticism by saying, “I read what he wrote, but I simply don’t care since he likes to be a ‘general after a battle’.”
“If someone else was teaching lessons I would have maybe understood, but Kyrgios … It’s somehow not realistic. But ok, it’s his style, that’s how he functions, I have no problem with that neither does it bother me on a personal level.”, The 23-year-old told the Jutarnji List newspaper on Monday.
Nick Kyrgios Questions The Top Players’ ‘Stupidity’
The second highest-ranked Australian in the ATP ranking also called Alexander Zverev’s’ selfish’ for partying instead of self-isolating himself after the tour.
“I agree it is not good, Zverev did a bad thing, but I don’t see a need to criticize fellow players in such a way. I wouldn’t do it, but again – it’s Kyrgios.”, Borna said regarding nick’s comment.
“This just shows what a joke @ThiemDomi @AlexZverev & @DjokerNole think this is, 2 of them partying like potato’s during a global pandemic. People losing lives loved ones and friends, and then Thiem standing up for the ‘mistake’, these guys are the ‘top’ of our sport. SMH”, The Australian tweeted after tests of the players at the tour came out positive.
Surprisingly, world number 33 Borna Coric was shocked that, he was tested positive. According to him, he didn’t have any symptoms at all. “As far as I know he also didn’t have them (symptoms).”, he said referring to Novak Djokovic.
