“I Enjoy The Challenges To Playing Against Roger Federer Of Course” – Rafael Nadal On His Favourite Opponents


Rafael Nadal, known as the ” King of Clay ” says that he loves facing Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the tennis court. The Spaniard is a winner of 19 Grand Slams to date. While he is one behind Federer, he is still two slams ahead of Djokovic.

Additionally, Nadal has played more than 1,000 matches till now. In a Facebook Q and A, Nadal said, ” My favorite opponents are one that I win against normally.” In addition to this, he also said, “Well, I don’t know. I enjoy the challenges of playing against Roger Federer of course. I also enjoy playing against Novak Djokovic, against Andy Murray, against David Ferrer.”

Besides, Nadal also announced the sponsorship in the Q & A session on Facebook. Additionally, he announced the news of the renewal of his sponsorship deal with Kia.

Moreover, the current world number two also said, “ I think there are a lot of great opponents. Everyone gives you a different challenge and you need to adjust your game to be competitive. I don’t have a favorite opponent. I just enjoy the fact that every day we compete against a different one.”

Additionally, Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic share more than 50 majors among themselves. Besides, they have won a total of 56 majors altogether.

While Djokovic is ranked number one, Federer holds the fourth rank as of now. Furthermore, the three players are famous as the BIG THREE in the men tennis world. 

However, Rafa has not been able to play the game for a long time, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But there is some good news. The tennis is coming back soon as the ATP tour may begin from the next month.
