Former world number one Roger Federer would conclude the 2020 season with just a single tournament appearance. For a reason, his back-to-back knee surgery and its recovery process. Meanwhile, the Swiss maestro admits he enjoys his break with his wife and their four children.
In a recent interview, Federer shared several interesting facts about his knee injury, comeback, and how he is spending time with his family, especially children. While Roger stayed more than six weeks in a home over two decades ago, he believes the ongoing break gives him relaxation.
Besides, Roger Federer said, “I am doing well. My family is good. It’s a long process (of knee recovery). It’s not day by day but more week by week progress. I practiced a bit last week. Next year the beginning of January will be back on the court. Enjoy family time in Switzerland.”
The Father of four continued, “Last time I stayed home over six weeks is at age 16. Being at home is more relaxing, not just for me but for my children… could sleep in sometimes because I go to bed late. No match stress. Enjoy going for a hike. Kids are doing home school anyway (due to pandemic).”

Speaking about his entrepreneur journey, Roger Federer said, “I enjoy the business part but I am still fighting for my comeback, I enjoy playing tennis, I enjoy playing the legends…So I am not going to retire just yet. No.”
