World No.01 Novak Djokovic will now play Pablo Carreno Busta at the round of 16 in the US Open 2020 on Sunday. However, the top-seeded Serbian has rated his opponent before the match by playing style.
The 17-times Grand Slam Champion has not been beaten by anyone in the 2020 season. He advanced to the fourth round of the US Open with a winning streak of 26-0 after defeating Jan-LennardStruff in the straight sets(6-3, 6-3, 6-1).
The 33-years-old Serbian will face world number twenty-seven Pablo Carreno Busta at the quarterfinal decider. Additionally, the Djokovic leads Spaniard in head to head 3-0.
In a recent interview with Sportklub, Djokovic said, “He is a very strong and awkward player, and this is especially the case in New York – he won the doubles trophy here, played the singles semifinals three years ago. He doesn’t have any big weapons, but he is solid everywhere – forehand, backhand, serve. Very good returns, a lot of balls back on the field.”
Additionally, He added, “I have to be ready for a lot of exchanges and a physically demanding match. We haven’t played against each other for a long time, but I know what awaits me, I hope to win.”
