GOOD NEWS – Serena Williams Starts Preparation for French Open 2020



Nowadays, if Serena Williams plays in the Grand Slam event, the question has been raised again and again. It is not about anything that just for her 24th Grand Slam title. While she was one of the favorites to win this year’s US Open, Williams was conquered by Victoria Azarenka in the semifinals. However, She has already begun preparation for the upcoming French Open 2020.     

Serena did not play the Italian Open 2020. For the reason that was an Achilles tendon injury. Additionally, she said, “I regretfully must withdraw from The Internazionali BNL d’Italia due to an Achilles strain. I’m so humbled by the continuous support from my fans in Rome and I look forward to making my return soon.”

Although, She has now completed her first training session of Roland Garros with her coach in south France on Wednesday. The event will be held from 27th September to 11th October. 

While Serena Williams has won a minimum of six titles in the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open, besides, she won only three titles in the French Open. She won her last Paris major title in 2015 and has a winning record of 65-13. 

Serena is now just one short to equal Margret’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles. The French Open 2020 is the last chance to do it this year.

Though Serena has several health issues, the fan’s reduction will also help her to stay healthy and fit. Williams took a separate home during the US Open in New York, but the French Open organizers would not be allowed to do the same in Paris.

While FFT officials have announced the tournament will be played with 11,500 spectators per day, now reports say it will be reduced to 5,000 per day due to the resurgence of positive cases in France.
