Russian Aslan Karatsev captured his second ATP tour-level title at the Kremlin Cup 2021 following a straight-set 6-2, 6-4 win over Croatian Marin Cilic. Notably, he did not drop a single set throughout the tournament.

“It is a dream come true. It is a tournament where I have played in qualifying and now I am winning the tournament,” Karatsev said in the post-match on-court interview.

“Thank you for all of your support. It was a very nervous final game, I hit a double fault and then on breakpoint there was that long rally, but I managed to win it in the end.”

“First of all, I would like to dedicate my win to my parents, my mum and my father. All my relatives and all of my friends.”
