“The Countdown To Doha Begins”: Roger Federer Expresses His Eagerness To Make A Comeback at Qatar Open 2021

The 18 times ATP fans favourite award winner Roger Federer returns to tour on 8th March at the Qatar Open 2021 in Doha. While fans can’t wait to see the Swiss Maestro’s comeback, the 20-time Grand Slam winner has expressed his eagerness to get back on the circuit. 

A father of four kids has not appeared in the ATP Tour for more than a year following two surgeries on his right knee, but Federer began his comeback preparation four months ago. 

The fans expectation that Roger was playing at the recently concluded Australian Open, but he skipped the year’s first Grand Slam event due to injury recovery concerns and Down Under’s stringent COVID-19 protocols.

However, the former World No.1 is now one step closer to making a comeback in the State of Qatar’s capital and most populous city, none other than Doha.

Having only a week ahead of his return, Roger Federer ultimately sent a message to his fans. “The countdown to Doha begins”, he wrote in his Twitter account on Friday.

Within eight hours after posting, the tweet had nearly 54000 likes and 5000 retweets and more than 7000 comments.
