Former World No.1 Roger Federer is an all-around player in the men’s game because wherever he plays, he is the favourite to lift the title. Especially, Swiss Maestro’s one-handed backhand and fluid style of play are world-famous. However, ex-coach and rivals Paul Annacone, Mahesh Bhupathi, and Somdev Devvarman share a lot about the 20-time Grand Slam Champion.
First of all, the former American professional and famous coach Paul Annacone, who trained RF for nearly a couple of years, revealed that the 39-year-old from Basel loves racquet sports and possesses the atmosphere.

“He loves the game of tennis and enjoys the environment. He has been at the top of the game for many years, and he accepts and enjoys the responsibility of being ‘Roger Federer’ — that sounds easy, but it is not,” the 58-year-old American said.

Federer Makes People Miserable With His Slice, says Mahesh Bhupathi
Four-time doubles Grand Slam winner Mahesh Bhupathi, known for his big serve, said that Federer’s second serve is the best he has ever faced.
The eight-time mixed Grand Slam title winner from India continued, “He(Roger) is not going to end up the greatest player, but he’s the most beautiful player to come out of tennis. His variety is mind-boggling. His second serve is the best I have ever faced. He makes people miserable with his slice.”
Another former Indian tennis professional, Somdev Devvarman, who was twice defeated by the Swiss, stressed Federer’s elegant and beautiful playing style is outstanding.
“One of the things that make him stand out is how he is able to do things in an explosive way but still do it elegantly. No one has seen that happen in the sport. When he’s on a song, and he goes after his shots, there is absolutely zero hesitation,” the former World No.62 added.
