“He Can Do A Lot More”: German Coach Sascha Bajin Rates Alexander Zverev’s Development

The famous coach in the WTA circuit Sascha Bajin will begin the new season with the Czech player Karolina Pliskova. The 36-years-old also the ex-coach of the three-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka and Dayana Yastremska. The German, however, expressed his appreciation for compatriot and World No.7 Alexander Zverev in a recent interview.   

2020 was the year of advancement in Alexander Zverev’s tennis career. The 23-years-old showcased his best performances throughout the season.

Afterwards, Alexander won back-to-back titles in Cologne and qualified for the final of the Rolex Paris Masters after defeating Rafael Nadal in the straight set.

Big Sascha Bajin said, “Its evolution is incredible. I’m very happy for him too. I’m a fan of his, and I like the way he plays.” 

The top coach also believes that Zverev’s US Open run would give him the confidence of what he needed. 

“I Think He Can Do A Lot More – Especially On Hard Courts”: Sascha Bajin 

Alexander Zverev has won 13 titles so far. Significantly, he claimed eight titles on the hard surfaces. The German coach also emphasised his compatriot has an added advantage on the hard courts.

Speaking about his countryman’s future career, Sascha Bajin expressed, “He’s very athletic for his size, and I think he can do a lot more – especially on hard courts that are getting faster again. That should even suit his game.”

Having a good record on hard courts, Alexander Zverev has an excellent opportunity to win his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open 2021.
