“Enjoyed Every Single Minute”: Swiss Rising Star Expresses Gratitude To Roger Federer and His Team

Every rising tennis player might have dreamed of hitting a few balls against one of the greatest players in history none other than Roger Federer. Here, the 18-years-old Swiss rising star Dominic Stricker explains his experiences after training with the 20-time Grand Slam winner.  

Having undergone back-to-back knee surgeries, the 39-years-old Swiss has not attended the ATP tour since the 2020 Australian Open. Eventually, Roger has recently begun preparing for his comeback in Dubai. 

On the other hand, Looking forward to a great season in 2021, the 2020 French Open boys singles title winner Dominic Stricker has completed his pre-season training under his compatriot Roger Federer and his team member’s supervision.

After having a fantastic training session with former World No.1, Dominic Stricker said, “What for three great weeks. I really enjoyed every single minute in Dubai. What a great start to the new season. Now looking forward to playing some tournaments. Thanks, Roger Federer and your team Severin Luthi, Ivan Ljubicic for these great practices.”

“Soon Dominic Stricker Is Playing Internationally, and We’re Rivals”, says Roger Federer

Roger Federer is considerably one of the most outstanding athletes and probably a fantastic ambassador for Switzerland for almost two decades. As a result, RF recently lifted the trophy for the best Swiss sportsman of the past 70 years.

Tennis Legend received almost half of all votes (49.1%), clearly beating cross-country skier Dario Cologna (12.8%) and downhill skier Pirmin Zurbriggen (11.9%).

The Nextgen Dominic Stricker won the best talent sport 2020 award after overcoming Siri Wigger (cross-country skiing) and Simon Ehammer (decathlon) in the audience online voting. The youngster from Bern received a sponsorship prize worth CHF 12,000 on behalf of Swiss Sports Aid.  

At the end of the award receiving ceremony, Stricker was congratulated by his idol and compatriot Roger Federer.

 “Dominic Stricker is still a junior for a few weeks. Soon he’s playing internationally, and we’re rivals,” a player from Basel said

However, we hope that Roger Federer will return soon and battle with his follower.
